Maintenance tips
Maintenance of your CLIC jewelry
To keep your CLIC jewelry beautiful, we advise you to regularly clean it gently with a soft cloth, preferably a microfiber cloth. This easily removes skin oils, dust, and light stains that result from daily wear. Regular maintenance helps to maintain the jewelry's appearance for a long time.
Cleaning the jewelry
Small stains can be easily removed with a soft cloth, sponge, or cotton pad with lukewarm water and a drop of mild dish soap. This method is especially suitable for cleaning the flexible stainless steel necklace wires. If necessary, rinse the jewelry carefully and then immediately dry it thoroughly with a soft cloth. This preserves the material's beautiful shine and quality.
Avoid scratches and aggressive agents
It is best not to use paper, tissues, or kitchen roll when cleaning jewelry. These materials can cause fine scratches on the surface. We also advise against chemical polishes for silver or jewelry, as these can damage or dull the materials. Gentle cleaning is always the best choice.
Daily use and care
For the longest possible lifespan, we recommend removing jewelry when showering, bathing, exercising, or visiting a sauna. Contact with perfume, hairspray, body lotion, and other cosmetic products can also affect the material and finish. Therefore, apply care products first before putting on your jewelry.
Storing your jewelry
When you are not wearing your jewelry, preferably store it in a dry place and separate from other jewelry. This prevents damage, scratches, or entanglement of necklace wires. A soft jewelry pouch or box is ideal for this.
Magnetic clasps
Many CLIC by Suzanne designs feature an original magnetic clasp. These small magnets provide extra wearing comfort and make the jewelry easy to put on and take off. The clasps are subtly integrated into the design and combine ease of use with an elegant appearance.
Caution with sensitive equipment
Magnets create a small magnetic field and can therefore affect sensitive equipment such as debit cards, digital storage media, hearing aids, or pacemakers. Although the magnetic field of our clasps is very limited—smaller than the radiation from a mobile phone—we advise, as a precaution, to avoid direct contact with medical equipment or sensitive electronics.
Questions about medical devices
Do you wear a pacemaker or other medical device and are you unsure whether a magnetic clasp is suitable for you? Always consult a doctor or specialist for personal advice.
